Our Story
We have undertaken projects up to £15 million for a previous employer who was a developer of high-end properties.
We began to notice that every time we worked on a flat in a block, our employer would be asked to do some further work to the common parts and on-going maintenance. Coupled with this, due to being exposed to other sub-contractors on various sites, we noticed that we were quicker, more polite and harder working than other builders.
We spent a lot of time talking to property managers and there appeared to be a common theme. Managers were often left with a choice between an unreliable and poorly structured 'two man band' who worked for themselves or a large building practice who would charge for head office, site assembly and a tier of management they frankly did not want.
We realised that we could grow the company from the original core team of 8 if we specialise only in common parts. We now know exactly how long things take and we can price much more precisely.
We do not consider ourselves expensive nor do we think we will be the cheapest. The cheapest in the building trade often means it has been mis-priced and corners will be cut, or there is a high chance of them walking off site. We insist that all of our work is meticulously finished to the highest of standards.
We have had a presentation created by one of the estate managers of a very exclusive development which teaches all of our men some fundamental courtesies such as holding doors open and helping residents in any way. You can download the presentation by clicking here.
